Born on November 11, 1936, in Staten Island, Carl graduated from Curtis High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army and being stationed in Germany. Following his military service, he began a career for the NYC Department of Corrections and the U.S. Postal Service, dedicating 23 years to this role at the Brooklyn House of Detention. Subsequently, Carl pursued a second career with the United States Postal Service, retiring after a decade of service. He loved golf, sports, and his family above all.
